If I think about a generation immediately younger than me, it would be my cousin’s daughters. They are cute and adorable of course, but one thing I understand least about them is their constant need of a cell phone which serves as their gaming zone all the time. I really do not understand the need of a constant gaming for 5 and 7 year old girls. It might sound like an oldie, but I think that those girls should be more close to people around them, rather than the cell phones people around them own.
What I learn, or to be more precise, awed about them is basically their presence of mind at that age. I couldn’t imagine doing and saying all the stuff they say at that age MashaaAllah.
In short, I think that digitalization had turned kids now, to something I could never imagine I would have been at the age of 7, only 14-15 yers back..!!

It have always been curious about bags. Curious in the sense that I have an itch to know what is hidden in others’ bags and also in a manner that I always find all those bags extremely attractive which I do not own! the weird thing about me and my bag is that I love to put everything, and that is to say absolutely everything inside it. Once upon a time I had a habit of carrying a bag for university largest of all the bags of my class fellow which not only contained my books, water bottle and other university essentials, along with all the stupid things like lip balm, sunscreen, extra books for work and all. But that is just something most people could do. On another occasion, in college, I was required only to take a pencil case for myself, I don’t quite remember what I had in my bag at that time, but I remember a friend saying that, “Samia, if it would have been possible for you, you would carry your entire house in this bag”. Apart from the university, whenever I am asked to go even for a movie, I am bound to carry almost my entire make-up box, for no reason because I know that they do remain untouched until I touch them to place them where they belong. In short I have a very bad habit of filling my bag to bulge even when its not require. This can only come in handy when we have to go to a trip, which haven’t been since 2005.
This is officially my hundredth post, I have been writing since 22 December 2011, so its been 20 months of my blogging. Even though it is a long time to complete a hundred posts, but I wasn’t a much active blogger initially and it took me almost a year to discover the daily post, so after starting on the daily prompts, my writing speed and skills both flourished. When I had done my seventy posts, I was sure that it’ll be a month and I will be done with my 100 posts, but it was not that easy, why, because, after that day, it took me more than 2 months to complete because of my work load, and other stuff. Even though I had not started my blog with a target of a 100 posts it feels great that I have managed it and I also feel shocked about some of the things which I have actually written myself. 😀
This is a special birthday post though a little belated, there are several reasons for this post to be special:
- The first one is well explained in the title.
- The second one is that even though, I’ve never much understood the reason for celebrating the birthday, this birthday was celebrated at 12, i.e , exactly at 12’o Clock*
- The best one, this was my birthday in Ramadan.
*Actually, we, by we I mean Me and my siblings have always celebrated our birthdays a week before or after the birthday, the reason being a nerdy one, i.e we didn’t want the birthdays to come in our way of going to the school next morning, since as a child it is always difficult to wake up early If you are sleeping late.
Why do I never get the point of celebrate it, yet I have celebrated it for each and every year of my life, I still think that losing a year of your life isn’t a reason to celebrate, yet the thought that I won’t be celebrating is a little upsetting, may be because we always want a reason to celebrate. 🙂
And after this hasty post, I definitely need to mention that this is my 90th post and I am so glad to blog long enough to write the 90th one on my birthday, and also, that I d not usually use computer in Ramadan but this is an added birthday bonus which I thought to use up for my birthday post. I do have some ideas whirring in my brains for more posts even now, but I’ll be writing those after Eid InshaaAllah. 🙂
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, or car? (Or something else entirely — bike? Hot air balloon?)
One of the two will not be enough for me, no. For me, all four have their own importance and when given a choice, I would design a trip which would include all four followed by each other in such a manner that it I won’t be devoid of the fun [art offered by each of these trips.
I haven’t been writing for a long time, the reason for this is that I simply did not have time, with my studies going tough and all along with the pressure to complete a story I began with about a month ago. The story I am writing is a fan-fiction of Harry Potter and I have been working on it every morning in my van. Anyways, I got quite deviated from my topic today, I couldn’t resist writing today because of an interesting addition in our course today. Actually we were provided with rabbits today for laboratory purposes, we didn’t do anything much today except for the “introduction” i.e cuddled by some of our fellows, but all I wish is that they’ll be alive once we’re done with them, i.e injected all our immunological stuff and antigens in them. Even though the day was horrible over-all for the entire class, but I guess the rabbits were one tolerable infact quite a nice part.
