Daily Prompt: Progress

When you look back at your blog on January 2, 2015, what would you like to see?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us PROGRESS.

I would want to see, firstly, a connected food blog, which I intend to to do for more than a year but haven’t started. It will contain all my mother’s special recipes and since she doesn’t like blogging much, I had decided a long time ago to publicize her creativity myself, but I am so far not near it at all.

Secondly, I would want at least one of my post to be published in the freshly pressed, and it is really an ultimate dream.

And finally, I would want my novelette completed and published on my blog as a new page.

But all the above given require a long time and I don’t see a lot of it in the coming year as it would be the final year of my university and therefore I expect all the above given to happen automatically or just simply in any easy way not requiring my time, yet fulfilling my blog dreams easily.. ;D

Daily Prompt: Google and Rescue Operation

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us SEARCHING.

Last thing I searched on google was the recipe for making a lasagna. I do have a rough idea how to make it, but since I just make it once a year, I don’t remember the recipe and I don’t bother to write it either. Even did I search for it, I didn’t follow a single one, but did something on my own, taking a guide from my mother and it did turn out well. 🙂

This isn't the one I made, I took the photo from GOOGLE;) I forgot to take the picture actually.

Daily Prompt: The Glass

Is the glass half-full, or half-empty?images

To me it is always half empty. I am an extremely pessimistic person and can assume the worst of the happenings in seconds. But from a general point of view, what matters is not how much the glass is filled, the thing that matters is, that what is the length of the glass and that what is in the glass, water, poison, or strawberry milkshake (my personal  favourite;))?

Daily Prompt: Local Flavor

Write a piece about a typically “local” experience from where you come from as though it’s an entry in a travel guide.

READ FULL, IT”LL TURN INTERESTING.. PAKISTAN   is a sovereign country in South Asia. With a population exceeding 180 million people, it is the sixth most populous country in the world. Located at the crossroads of the strategically important regions of South Asia, Central Asia and Western Asia, Pakistan has a 1,046-kilometre (650 mi) coastline along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman in the south and is bordered by, blah blah blaah b–blahhh…

This was the geographical information one would get from the introductory part of a typical tour guide, from my view-point, it is different, we Pakistani people, mostly, are foodies, and it is a routine to deviate from our target and get diverted towards the food..                                                                                                                               One such evening, and that a year or two ago, we went to achieve some well-planned target, I don’t exactly remember what it was but I clearly remember that it was round 5 in the evening, and after sometime, everyone, except me felt hungry, so they all ordered a typical chana chaat, because we were in one of the typical food areas in KARACHI.. I just tried a bite from my mom’s bowl, I felt hungry but I didn’t say anything because it was against my ego, but my mom offered me another and I got started, I took another, and another, and another bite, in short bite after bite, I alone emptied half of it without realizing what I had done..  It was an amazing experience really.. I had a great time..

Daily Prompt: Seconds!

Describe the most satisfying meal you’ve ever eaten in glorious detail.

As long as its food, its satisfying. 😉 This sounds a little boring but the truth is that I  love food, to eat and to cook, both are my favourite, and the best meal I’ve ever eaten is not just one. On one account, it was a high tea in a very well reputed hotel of the city, on another, it was a dinner in a small restaurant which offers amazing traditional food, followed by a coffee on a very good coffee spot.Healthy-eating

Eating out is not always ever the best meal. Food cooked by my mom at our home are no less. My mom cooks amazing food, and we often prefer to have a home cooked meal rather than eating anywhere outside. And it’s not just that she can cook only the regular food, but she can cook a variety of things which are always THE BEST.

In short, the best meal to me is like good food, offered at a good, as in a hygenically accepted(since I’m becoming a microbiologist) place, giving me the satisfaction that I am blessed. 🙂
